The Sun Stands Still. A Stare in the Eye of Consciousness.
A pause to recognise the feat of exultation – the Sun triumphant in the Northern Hemisphere’s Summer.
The Sun represents our consciousness, what is being illuminated and exalted in Light.
Litha or Summer Solstice is one of the 8 celebrations of the Wheel of the Year – mimicking our Life’s Journey.

The hard protective shell and the soft delicate inside of nurturing creation. Of the Womb we are all born, and emerge out to this world to celebrate the Light Embodied in us, in our creations, in our emotional experiences of Life.
Cancer ♋️ is represented by the Crab in the western zodiac, mastering the dance between water and land, protective when attacked, tending to its home with care.
The Scarab Beetle in Egyptian symbolism links to the cranium bone and the limbic system. It represents resurrection, transformation and growth. And was popularly used as an amulet for protection, also placed on the heart to guide the soul on its journey from one life to the next (afterlife as the Ascended Human).
In Native American tradition the Turtle represents the oldest symbol of Mother Earth, giving and love, protective and safe grounding. It is from the Cosmic Ocean Mother to the green and blue planet that we are welcomed to life to express through physicality, emotions and creativity in our realm.
The Ladybug is also symbolic of Mother Mary, the scarlet colour of love and devotion, also as the bringer of gifts, good luck and a sign from the Heavens your prayers are heard.

Summer Solstice is the crescendo of the dance of the Sun with Earth.
Feel this activated shift of consciousness propel you during these times and prompt you to take action on your Heart’s call.
Cancer is ruled by the Moon 🌙 so this season tend to your Lunar tendencies of emotional support and healthy expression, passionate creation, needs and a sense of inner security.

This month we have 2 Full Moon’s in Capricorn, one at 1°♑︎ on 22/6 UT and the other at 29°♑︎ 21/7 UT – good times for reflection on your status of progress towards your goals, how to make amends for your future security (including emotional recovery, release of old baggage weighing you down) and gratitude for your strength of body to hold you in life.

With the New Moon in Cancer aligning with Sirius at 14°♋︎ on the 5/7. Sirius our Great Spiritual Sun. This lunation is set to activate tremendous healing, awakening memories, and a loving guidance of protection to advance on Life’s Journey through these times.

A simple healing ritual for the Solstice:
Hold some sea salt in your hands, give thanks for your life, the tears that you have shed, the sweat that you have released, these are parts of your emotional journey in life. The salt of your cell’s memories, the salt of your bones, and the tastes of life’s moments that are yours to own.
Place them in a vessel of water and offer your gratitude for the experience of life – in body, with emotions, welcome a softening of the mind’s hold over memories that are holding you in discomfort and low moods, and set in the Solstice Sun Light to charge. When ready (a few minutes/ hours at the Solstice time) pour this offering of gratitude for life back into the Earth. Honour this existence.
