Eclipse Season: Remembrance, Love, and Conscious Participation.

Eclipse Season:
Remembrance, Love, and Conscious Participation.
Reflections for the August 2026 Eclipse Season, the Leo Solar Eclipse and the Pisces Lunar Eclipse.
Eclipse Season is upon us again.
These are the first Eclipses since the Lunar Nodes entered Leo and Aquarius. They do not simply reflect this new evolutionary cycle, they inaugurate it. They offer our first lived experience of what this eighteen-month journey may ask of us.
Something remarkable happens during every Eclipse Season. The sky appears to interrupt its own rhythm. The familiar lights disappear, if only briefly, inviting us into a liminal space where what was hidden becomes visible and what was certain begins to dissolve.
Eclipses have always been associated with revelation. Ancient cultures regarded them with awe because they disrupt ordinary perception. Astrologically, they often coincide with turning points, endings, beginnings and accelerated evolution.
Yet not every revelation arrives as external news.
Some arrive as gentle remembrance.
The Eclipses on the 12th and 28th August open a gateway between collective change and the individual awakening. We are seeing it in every system and across community circles. Change is asking to be met and adapted with. While the world may become captivated by spectacle, conflict and disclosure, another invitation quietly unfolds beneath the noise.
To remember the intelligence that has never left us, only waited to be recognised.

🌑SOLAR ECLIPSE NEW MOON
20° LEO
12th August
Key themes:
Honour. Valiance. Loyalty to Creation. Discernment around ego, performance and misplaced confidence. A reminder to ground creative expression in self-awareness. Not all movement is progress, authenticity matters more than applause. Avoid impulsive displays driven by insecurity.
Leo tends the light of the Heart. Aquarius illuminates the light of the Mind. While Aquarius widens perspective beyond the personal self. Leo asks that those insights become courageously lived through an individual heart. One without the other becomes incomplete. Vision without an embodied heart remains a theory. Identity without perspective becomes ego. Together they create a conscious participation in life.
Sabian Symbol:
Intoxicated chickens dizzily flap their wings trying to fly.
This Sabian Symbol has had me smiling since I first discussed it back in early January 2026 in the Preview of the Year. It speaks of movement without orientation. Noise mistaken for progress, and performance mistaken for purpose. Even confidence without grounding.

We live in an age where information spreads faster than wisdom. Eclipse Seasons often amplify this tendency. We rush towards certainty. We long to be first. We crave hidden knowledge before we have embodied the wisdom already available to us. Yet intoxication does not always come through substances. It also comes through fear, outrage, ideology, superiority, constant stimulation. The invitation of this Leo Eclipse is not a louder expression. It is a dignified radiance.
Reflection Prompts:
- Where have I been performing rather than expressing?
- What wants to be created through me rather than by me?
- What am I trying to prove?
- What would courage look like if nobody applauded?

🌕 LUNAR ECLIPSE FULL MOON
4º PISCES
28th August
Key themes:
Remembrance. Surrender. Love. Collective emotional sensitivity and spiritual convergence. This Eclipse highlights shared values, compassion, and community healing.
Empaths are invited to maintain boundaries, offering presence rather than absorption. Meaning is found through shared humanity, not sacrifice. If Pisces teaches surrender, Virgo teaches integration. One dissolves unnecessary control, the other quietly asks how we embody what has been revealed. Inspiration without practice soon becomes another forgotten dream.
This Lunar Eclipse is conjunct Fixed Star Fomalhaut, one of the four Royal Stars, often described as one of the ancient Angelic Watchers. Long associated with deep subconscious truth, spiritual vision, and inspired ideals, Fomalhaut quietly reminds us that wisdom is discovered through direct experience rather than inherited certainty. So feel into what this Eclipse is revealing for you, not just what the echo tells you it is about.
As the month draws to a close, it is worth sitting quietly beneath this stellar presence, allowing remembrance to arise without force. Some truths reveal themselves not through searching but through stillness.
Sabian Symbol:
A church bazaar.
From the sabian symbol it is a reminder to bring the sacredness and humility into the everyday marketplace. Exchange can occur without greed and interaction may be held with integrity.

This Piscean Lunar Eclipse invites us to remember the beauty of Mutable Water and Mutable Earth: not everything must be solved. Some things must be surrendered. Pisces dissolves but love without boundaries becomes sacrifice, compassion without discernment becomes exhaustion. Let there be discernment AND sweet embrace.
Reflection Prompts:
- Where do I confuse compassion with self abandonment?
- Where am I carrying emotions that are not mine?
- What illusion is ready to dissolve?
- How can I become more available to love without becoming lost within it?
The coming months may bring spectacle, conflict and disclosure. Whether that concerns politics, finance, technology, artificial intelligence, non-human intelligence or hidden histories is almost secondary. Something within us is becoming more sensitive to truth. Stories long buried are beginning to surface. Those that carry truth feel less like entertainment and more like oxygen, gently awakening the mind from its long amnesia. For those willing to listen to this Eclipse Season, the spectacle gradually loses its hold. Authenticity becomes easier for the heart to recognise. The question is not what is revealed, but who we become in the presence of revelation.
Can we remain centred enough to discern without becoming consumed?
Can we allow new knowledge to deepen our humanity rather than inflate our certainty?

Atlantis
I mentioned these in my previous essays.
So, now to expand on this a little more.
The story of Atlantis.
Whether Atlantis represents a historical civilisation, an archetypal memory or a collective myth, it continues to speak to a profound theme.

Humanity once learned how to create extraordinary things. Yet somewhere along the way, technological brilliance became separated from spiritual maturity.
Intelligence drifted away from wisdom.
Power became separated from love.
Perhaps what followed was not merely the collapse of a civilisation.
Perhaps it was amnesia.
The deep forgetting.
Perhaps every civilisation reaches the same threshold. Intelligence expands until it must decide whether love will expand with it.
Perhaps the true fall of Atlantis was not the destruction of a civilisation, but the forgetting of the heart. And if we now view through the language of astrology, Aquarius remembers forgotten intelligence, beyond the confines of limited perspective. Leo reminds us why that intelligence exists in the first place. Not to dominate or control, but to illuminate and honour creation.

We are witnessing the rapid rise of an intelligence that has always belonged to life itself. An intelligence carried by the body, the heart, intuition, nature and consciousness. Let’s not just watch, but awaken with it.
Technology, including artificial intelligence, will undoubtedly continue to transform civilisation. We are not here to merely become its users. Perhaps its greatest gift is the space it creates for us to remember what only the human heart can embody. It may even liberate us from identifying solely with a world that is simultaneously dissolving and being reborn, allowing the dark soil of these times to be our fertile ground from which growth and evolution emerge. That is what these axes of Leo Aquarius and Virgo Pisces offer.
While we are adapting to the change of how we think, the Eclipse invitation is that we also transform how we perceive.
Intelligence alone has never guaranteed wisdom.
The human heart remains the place where information becomes meaning.

The Eclipse Path
The Eclipse path sweeps across lands long associated with memory, mystery and sovereignty. From the Arctic and Greenland, through the West Coast of Iceland and Ireland, before crossing northern Spain and Mallorca. It traces a belt rich with stories of hidden worlds, ancient traditions and enduring resilience. Whether one reads geography symbolically or literally, the path itself invites contemplation. It crosses places where humanity has long pondered what lies beneath the visible world.
Remembrance
Remembrance is never about returning to the past.
It is more about becoming fully present to what has always been quietly revealing itself. Inconceivable beauty hides in plain sight. We have just been conditioned to pursue spectacle over stillness, glamour over presence. Yet the living world remains one of the greatest revelations available to us, if only we pause long enough to truly see it, listen to it and feel resonance with it.

This links to another script that is continuing to play out… The Basket configuration I wrote about previously in my essay The Birth After Amnesia. A celestial pattern that speaks of holding apparent opposites within one living centre rather than choosing between them. Pluto, Neptune and Uranus are held with our inner planets Mercury opposite Pluto and Venus opposite Neptune. What is being held for humanity now is a beautiful mind that remembers how to hold a healed embodied presence.
Consciousness does not evolve by escaping humanity. It evolves by participating in it more beautifully. Read more on The Birth After Amnesia

Love
The other theme for this season that is worth spending a moment of your time reflecting on is – Love.
Both Leo – Aquarius and Virgo – Pisces axes offer a particular relation to Love that we can learn through.
Love is not agreement, nor is it passivity.
Love does not avoid the truth.
Love is the practice of remaining coherent while the world becomes increasingly polarised.
To love is to remain connected to the heart while thinking clearly.
To discern without becoming cynical.
To feel without drowning.
To honour sovereignty within the collective.
Perhaps this is the underlying invitation of this Eclipse Season. Not to become spectators of a changing world, but conscious loving participants in its unfolding.
May this Eclipse Season offer moments to light a candle, to quietly honour yourself and the self reflected in all others. May kindness soften what no longer needs to be carried, allowing surrender to become not defeat, but one of love’s most courageous expressions.
May all humanity know they are love, they are loved and they are loving.
With gratitude and love.
