The Full Moon Lunar Eclipse marks the close of the Summer Eclipse Season, take this time to allow the swell of emotion to rise in you, feel the buoyancy with it, feel nauseous from its turbulence. There is something in the deluge for us all. How it soaks to our bones and reaches our cellular memory is dependent on the consciousness required for evolution now.

The fabric of reality is always shaken out for good airing, and particularly noticeable around the nodal points of the Eclipse, when our Lights, the Sun and the Moon seem to collide and devour each other, in a passionate and long awaited embrace, or a rage stricken battle for triumph.

These past two weeks have held the dance of lovers and the game of warriors. The moves made became fated to seal the resonance with what is desired, what is required, what must be accepted and how to thrive through the changing tides.

Every Full Moon tends to pose an exaggerated response, particularly notable to those sensitive to these lunar swells. If you are ambivalent to your soul’s journey, that reflection in the silver mirror of spirit can raise the shadows to play and torment with your soulful perceptions. This can bring you to see and feel outside of yourself for looking within is too scary, your cunning consciousness finds impeccable ways to grow through projections instead.

What Has Been Washed Ashore?

A Lunar Eclipse is no different, yet often more pronounced and tends to radically alter the path with a removal of choice or an additional load of responsibility to tend to for some time.

So, what has been washed ashore this Eclipse Season?

What has been cast out to the roaming seas?

From around the time of the Solar Eclipse on the 12 August has anything metaphorically come knocking on your door? What response did it provoke in you?

A call to face a dweller of your own home, a part of you that deserves to be warmed by the light of your heart seeking recognition?

Was something snuffed out?

Did something reveal itself to have already been burnt out by the blaze of your evolving spirit, scorching what you loved?

Yet, in reflection now, might there have been truth to what was extinguished?

Painful as it might be, what truth have you sat with? What thoughts have revealed a part of you that craves to be heard, that warns not to shut it off any longer?

The Mouth of the Southern Fish

The fixed star Fomalhaut offers us a wonderful story to lean on this Lunar Eclipse to open the metaphorical mouth and drink the nectar of knowledge, to taste and be enlivened by the divine guidance that can see beyond the limits of what is presently unfolding.

Pisces Austrinus

Fom-al-hut, the mouth of the fish receives the flowing nectar that cascades from the jug of Ganymede in the constellation of Aquarius. This divine nectar of the Gods is knowledge that is drunk by the deeper, more instinctive and receptive layers of consciousness, where understanding need not first pass through the rational mind. Which is where we can be quenched of our ignorance and remember how to swim upstream to the harmonics of high heart and divine mind.

Additionally, this star is considered such an important ancient navigational star in the Southern skies. Fomalhaut later came to be counted among the four great Royal Stars, alongside Antares, Regulus and Aldebaran. Once positioned through the fixed signs of the tropical zodiac, precession has now carried all four into mutable signs, transforming what we might imagine as an ancient Fixed Cross into a Mutable one. We are, quite literally, watching the heavens mark a change of epochs.

These celestial guardians whose symbolism gathered further layers of symbolism through Persian, Hellenistic and later Western esoteric traditions. In later correspondences they became associated with the four Watchers, the Archangels and, in some traditions, the Evangelists.

Fomalhaut became the Watcher of the South, and in later angelic pairing was associated with Gabriel.

So, as part of this great celestial cross that I like to imagine is being turned as part of our great clock of the Cosmic Wheel, these stars when accentuated at eclipses and moments like this, illuminate the narratives asking to be re-visioned, retold, remembered for the purpose of evolution. This star, and this Eclipse that offers it a microphone, asks us to listen to the guidance, the prophecy and the witness in honour of the design of something beyond our knowing… but to trust it.

Trust it, like Mary trusted the messenger Gabriel, not necessarily because she could know what would come of the message, but because something within her recognised what had arrived.

> Matsya, the divine fish avatar of Vishnu in the Hindu tradition, who carries sacred knowledge through the waters of the great dissolution. Not a representation of Fomalhaut, but a beautiful mythic resonance: the fish, the deluge, divine knowledge, all preserved through remembrance and renewal in a changing world.

The Inner Beloved

What inner light is being reflected for you? To hear, see and feel in a way that resonates with your high heart – the place you feel most love, most sweet comfort, most faith, the place that you know without needing to defend, without needing to name, claim or proclaim its status.

This is what is asking to be the refreshing tonic that soothes the pain, heals the wound, reveals the missing memory in the pools of consciousness that you endlessly peer into seeking wholeness, seeking union with a forgotten love of the soul.

The game and war need not ravage you, the burning passion need not pain you. The beloved reception of revelation is always patiently awaiting your loving gaze.

Look upon this time with a loving gaze.

This body you occupy now is your chosen vessel.

This tapestry of events and unfoldings of time is not entirely yours to command, yet your fingers remain upon the threads.

No more can be said but what can we hear without repetitive response to aid its glorious vibration rippling for eternity.

No more need be felt but what existence would that be if you ceased to explore the swells of emotion that colour the skin of this expression.

May this Full Moon Lunar Eclipse embrace you and remind you of the silver light that is forged in the golden beams of creation, that even difficult emotional experiences can contain something illuminating.

May there be a nectar to drink that heals the lingering poison of what has gone before.

May there be resonance with your inner beloved, and a rouse in the game of life that catches your curiosity to continue this expansive tending to the garden that ceaselessly grows with life and death, rebirth and remembrance.

Simply, may you find light in what has happened, healing for what still hurts, love within yourself, and enough curiosity to keep engaging with this strange cycle of being alive.
