As Uranus, the Great Awakener, shifts into Gemini tomorrow morning on 7th July, take a deep breath and imagine a cosmic tuning fork striking the very frequencies of our collective nervous system.
Over the coming years until 2033, We’ll hear, process and share the resounding clang as our mental hemispheres are jolted into a new, accelerated communion, awakening intuitive connections and ushering in an era of brilliant, even shocking, insights.
This transit is akin to a powerful synaptic spark leaping across the vast circuitry of our collective mind.
Will our mind be shocked, disrupted and profoundly altered to (re)discover intuitive communion, and our innate higher intelligence perception? Will this unlock new speeds of connection?
YES! For the past 8 years our Body (Taurus) received this electrifying recalibration, we are charged with the capacity to take on more Light. So as this shift occurs we must use this as a great grounding force for new electromagnetic frequencies to disrupt the old programming and rewire it to our greatest potential.
Uranus is nothing short of an electrifying evolutionary force that profoundly, unusually and rapidly alters states of consciousness….. So let’s be excited!
Personally, I have been tracking Uranus and its transits and noting how it is the predominant marker in moments that have radically “woken” me up, delivering strange and out of this world experiences, shocking revelations and the most incredible channelings. In embodiment, Uranus has no qualms for acting outside the realms of normalcy, preferring unusual and erratic expressions, and wildly demonstrates its finesse with the higher mind, the out of time and body reach it connects to.
It is a fascinating planetary energy that I am enthralled with, equally excited to share its tone with you to aid your alignment and keep you up to speed with what may unfold in the coming 8 years as Uranus transits through Gemini, Mutable Air.
Uranus in Gemini heralds a period of unprecedented intellectual awakening, accelerated communication, and revolutionary changes in how we perceive, process, and connect. Be mindful of widespread propaganda, shocking misinformation, AI and technological interference. Do not lose your mind, use it, let this time awaken your innate perception and be supported in basic tasks by AI and technology, so your intelligence can surge and continue to be a creative form of connection.
(This song Interlude, Shapeless Remix sounds like the initial stirrings of Uranus in Gemini to me and the lyrics included in it “It’s not a journey. Every journey ends but we go on” feels very evocative and inspirational for where this trasnit can lead us)
URANUS:
Uranus is one of our Transpersonal Outer Planets (beyond Saturn) that through the language of astrology we describe as the Collective Mind, The Hive Vibration, the Higher Mind – Genius, Innovative, Original or futuristic. It is the State of Being – as Andrew Smith describes in the Four Components of Horoscopic Astrology – that is Freedom Seeking, Rule Breaking, Independent, Eclectic, Excited, Unique and Erratic.
Uranus Cycle Dates:
Uranus will enter into Gemini 7th July 2025, retrograde back to Taurus on the 8th November 2025 for the final jolt to the body for my fellow Taureans with placements in 27º to 29º Taurus. Uranus will return to Gemini on the 26th April 2026 and stay there until 22nd May 2033 (with the exception of its dip into the Cardinal Waters of Cancer in 2032).
Uranus takes 7-8 years to transit through a Zodiac Sign, in 84 years it completes 1 full cycle through the wheel. In comparison the Moon transits through all twelve signs about every 28 days. It spends approximately 2 and a half days in each sign. It takes Mercury approximately one year to go through all of the twelve signs. Mercury can stay in one sign from about 14 to 30 days, depending on its motion.
So we can see how Uranus is a collective marker for the long changes we evolve through. And as I have stated in previous events and articles, this is not the only significant shift of an outer planet into its next sign this year. There is a layered energy of monumental change in our Collective Mind – one not to be missed so let’s wake up!
(Pluto in Aquarius (Fixed Air) 2023 / 24-2044, Neptune in Aries (Mind’s Eye) 2025-2039, Saturn in Aries (Cardinal Fire) 2025-2028: none of these spell slow or easy… these are all fast and exciting movements, very yang (fire and air) and highly transformative, transcendent and bounding)
Myth of Uranus:
Uranus (Ouranos), the sky god, born of Gaia, one of the first primordial deities born of Creative Chaos. Gaia also had Ouranos as her husband, parenting The Titans, The Cyclopes, and The Hecatoncheires, among others.
Their relationship, despite fostering the creation of the first generations of cosmic beings that laid the groundwork for the cosmology narratives we live with (mainly in the western mind, but found in other cultural creation myths under other names), was strife with challenges and often tyranny. This sparked rebellion and radical detachment in the creation narratives, angering Gaia and her instruction to her children, mainly Kronos (Saturn) to destroy Ouranos. The blood shed from him spawned The Erinyes, avenging goddesses who pursued those guilty of patricide, matricide and other sacred oath-breakers; also The Gigantes (giants) war-like beings and The Meliae, (ash nymphs) whom were the progenitors of an early race of men. There is a conceptual link here to the Irish Milesians, again they formed the new human era in Ireland ending the magical era of the Tuatha Dé Danann.
Additionally from this bloodshed, the sea-foam formed from the castration of Ouranos produced Aphrodite (Venus) the goddess of Love and Beauty. So, his rule may be riff with clangs and clashes but his offspring and creations become legendary and revolutionary.
His rule receded in these narratives as Kronos took dominance. But Uranus still holds the metaphorical seat of the vast cosmic connection, beyond this more micro and limiting narrative that Saturn took us into. In Astrological interpretation, Saturn and Uranus both represent aspects of time, one with chronological and limiting manifestations of crystalised time and the latter as a broad context of creative time as inn existence.
Uranus is the cosmic perspective, the collective evolutionary timeline, and higher consciousness that disrupts, breaks, and inevitably awakens. While the Greek Myths hold a slightly myopic narrative that is shifting due to modern reinterpretation we can still hear the tone of Uranus’s role as the bringer of sudden, often chaotic, but ultimately liberating change.
GEMINI:
Gemini, Mutable Air, is the third sign of the Zodiac which represents the form and expression of consciousness played out in this case collectively. Simply, it is the action of Breathing: inhale, assimilate, exhale and reset. It is our mental connection, perception, communication, information processing and sharing or exchange with others or other parts of ourselves. Gemini is governed by Mercury adding the emphasis to the mental connection, it also suggests the communion of our dexterity between polarities – the right and left hemispheres, the hands and feet, the intake and output of information, the spoken and unspoken perceptions our entire system picks up on to commune the experience with the body and the mind with the experience. Our nervous system is a great metaphor for Gemini energy.
The Nervous System:
The Nervous System is the Body’s Communication Network: The nervous system (including the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves) is the body’s intricate communication network. It’s responsible for receiving, processing, and transmitting information (like sensations, thoughts, and commands) throughout the body at lightning speed.
Gemini is attributed with quick-wittedness and mental agility, a fast mind, curiosity, and an ability to process multiple ideas simultaneously. This mirrors the rapid firing of neurons in the brain. Gemini rules all forms of communication – speaking, writing, listening, and sharing ideas. This is the very function of the nervous system. Duality and connection symbolised by the Twins, Castor and Pollux, signifies duality, the linking of contrasting ideas and the need for connection. The nervous system connects different parts of the body and integrates information from various sources. A less harmonious manifestation of Gemini’s energy can be restlessness, anxiety, and a “high-strung” or gossiping nature. This is a direct reflection of an overstimulated or imbalanced nervous system, seeking connection through unawareness.
With Uranus in Gemini, I see this as a great charge to the collective Nervous System, a chance to rewire and remember our innate connection to all things. Is mycelium the only hyper intelligent network in existence?… No. If the rapid use of plant medicine has helped many to rewire the physical connection to their lived experience, through altered states (all Taurean themes) then we can foresee that there is a wide scale surge of awakening due for our telepathic and intellectual capacities, igniting a global genius of intuitive understanding of our interconnectedness.
This song by Rone: Motion, reminds me of the essence of Gemini. When my fellow Gemini Rising son was age 3 I got him to listen and decipher what instruments were being played in this song. Perhaps it is a Gemini Rising thing, but this is fun for a highly mercurial mind, the accumulation of sounds, instruments, pitch, speed and sombre – frequencies that all paint pictures in my Arian Mercurial mind or form order and deciphering challenges perfect for a mind like his with his Virgoan Mercury/Jupiter in the 5th. For you perhaps these fantastic compilations of sounds becomes frequency that interacts with other senses provoking feelings, thoughts, and new expressions!
Myth of Gemini:
A reminder of the myth of the Celestial Twins, Castor and Pollux, (read in full on my blog) powerfully encapsulates themes of duality, brotherhood, and the profound longing for connection. Born from the same mother but different fathers (one mortal, one divine), they represented the inseparable yet contrasting aspects of human experience. When the mortal Castor died, the immortal Pollux, unable to bear the separation, pleaded with Zeus to share his immortality. Zeus honored their bond by placing them in the heavens as the Gemini constellation, symbolising ultimate loyalty, sacrifice, and the eternal dance between our earthly and divine selves, forever seeking unity and communication across perceived divides.
While Uranus expresses itself on this Mutable Air stage we can hope and strive for the awakening of brotherhood, sisterhood and kinship, with the honouring of our dual nature enhanced and capitalised on.
The Lightnings that strikes the Twins is a theme we may see played out on the social stage, with many sparring players vying for your attention and seeking to call you into echoes with their narrative. But this is ultimately a reconnection with the mortal and immortal aspects of your mind and your ability to adapt to the disruption and evolve with love of the unification and kindred connection of your multifaceted dual nature.
Uranus in Taurus:
Shaking the Foundations of Material Reality (2018/2019 – 2025/2026)
Uranus through Taurus (2018-2026) has shown us the capacity for physical breakdown and breakthrough, as we reflect on these years we can see the disruption to the financial systems, material security and the revolutionary shifts in agriculture, food, banking and real estate. Additionally, the shocking physical divisions we have collectively experienced through the global pandemic and subsequent alterations humanity had to rebuild from show us the re-evaluation we endured to provide security and honourable embodiment. We have also been brought into a stark awareness of how our Earth is responding to humanity and the implications of a progressing society to our land, soil, water and air – all the physical experience of a modern life that is radically shifting leaving many torn between new and old methods and what this serves.
There was a resurgence of indigenous and rooted cultural practices that allowed many countries to remember and reinvigorate their ancient languages, rituals and methods of embodiment that are more aligned with the prechristain, pagan, matriarchal or Earth aligned ways. Mentioned above, the use of planet medicine, herbal care, and home grown produce saw an exciting increase. None of these were lost practices, but while Uranus moved through Taurus – the Fixed Earth, embodiment, internalised reality, physicality, sensuality, financial or materialistic value – we saw these rewilding movements, sustainable living innovations reawakened on a mass collective scale.
There is of course the widely spoken about decentralisation of the financial industry. Opening to the rise and volatility of the cryptocurrency, blockchain technology and the liberation from traditional employment systems with the rise of digital nomads, new ways of earning and spending that broke the traditional methods of financial security. Uranus challenged the notion of traditional ownership, possession or value. And due to the pandemic also raised the awareness of the need for alternative economic models as a precursor to food, resource and supply shortages and demands.
Uranus through Taurus asked
- How can we define security in an increasingly digitised and decentralised world?
- How can we honour our physical manifestation yet evolve beyond dense un-serving structures?
- How can we build a future that is progressive but not cut the human out of the equation?
While Taurus is a slow and heavy essence, Gemini is quick and light. What shall this shift bring us? Are we ready? How can we align?
Personal Reflection with the Golden Matrix
If I may add a personal story to this, hopefully it lends context. But with my 5 Taurus placements, these years have been quite revolutionary. No doubt my 4 Gemini placements (inclusive of my Moon and Ascendant) will appropriately contend and give it a good run for its money! If I use the visionary and prophetic experiences I had to add a tone, certainly the tone I teach from, I would share that in 2018 and 2019, as Uranus passed my Sun and Lilith opposing Pluto, I had an embodiment of a supernatural experience, The Madonna, The Mother spoke through my heart and witnessed through my eyes, it was unlike any other channelling or intuitive experience I have had to date. Booming, responding and awesome! I spent about 10 days in an altered state of blissful awareness of the timeless connection to all living things. “I am here to walk within you and all beings through the veils of Change”.
That aside, one of the recurring visions that came during this time was of a woman, The Mother, climbing on to a chequered board (the game of reality) Her arrival barely bothered the other players or Game Masters standing wearing suits on the board. I felt her hurt, her primordial rage, as her own sons and descendants disregarded her presence. She stomped her foot on the board and it made a crackle that certainly changed the awareness.
This similar dream scene continued as I occasionally drifted in and out of “training/upgrading” with this awakening force. As it passed my 12th House North Node, She had gracefully evolved to boldly hold a presence that was fearless yet boundlessly compassionate. The dream vision unfolded as she enveloped the resisting, broken and suppressive aspects of her creation. The MaTrix was being reformed by The Mother – Uranus in Taurus! In short, her golden magma filled the crack in the board that she herself issued, and through her radiant form that took on the form of a huge skirt, or golden bell, each soul passed through her to be transformed from suited, lifeless, egoic humans to radiant, full spectrum light illuminating in every meridian and we each got to walk on off the chequered board and into the lush valley that led to the rivers that trickled to Her great Ocean. The symbolism in these visions are the prophetic nature of what is possible and happening with humanity now.
The final chapter in my personal chronicles with Uranus in Taurus is still in writing… With my 12th House Mars Chariklo (Centaur) opp Saturn at 27º I am so far thoroughly enjoying its teachings, its beyond brilliant prophecies and the guidance that I will find the courage to wholly embody. Watch that space!
What I want this personal share to encapsulate is, that the radical awakening of an embodied creative force is asking to be living in all bodies now, to be remembered in all souls and not feared or repressed – this is a predesigned unfolding of events that is ecstatic if trusted and lived with.
As Uranus closes out in Taurus in the coming 9 months we can become more readily available to embody heightened awareness, strengthened in our electromagnetic anchoring as Hue-Man Beings (Hue: Light Spectrum, Man: Manifestations) We are formidable with our entrusting of nature and Mother Nature’s remedies, cues and revelations.
Uranus in Gemini:
Waking the Twins with an Electrified Breath (2025/2026 – 2032/2033)
The obvious shift from Fixed Earth Taurus to Mutable Air Gemini is speed. From the Physical to the Mental, from the density and lived experience to the conceptualised and thought liberation. Uranus as a collective awakener and radical disruptor will become an instant change in pace as a typically mind oriented society grapples with innovating and perception shattering concepts of comprehension.
The core themes you will see touted with Uranus in Gemini is the revolution of communication, how you share information is already rapidly altering on a regular basis with the various and vast social platforms and networks that aid learning and mental tasks. The AI advancements will continue to soar and jolt our capacity to skillfully utilise and remain useful as mentally capable beings. Perhaps we will as a race be preceded with a far superior intelligence, but this concept of transhumanism is just not my vibe, and one I can only hope humanity learns to adapt and co-evolve with, not subservient to.
The elements of AI I find worthy in this context is that of language connection, translation and enhanced connection to those who may not speak your native language or when you travel you can honour the local dialect and be understood in the spoken terms they use. The deciphering of conceptual thought into rational format, that enhances human creativity and expression with a structure that lends to the logical perspective.
Think of this time as the potential for an intellectual renaissance, with rapid acceleration of ideas and theories and new concepts enlightening in all fields of thought. Data and intellectual interface will alter as will personal assistance for the mental tasks that with this broader connection seem to mount and seem endless. Delegation of minor tasks may have a supporting role to alleviate human load and improve communication and ingenuity. With the deluge of information we need to be very careful with our discernment, managing the nervous system so that shocking decisions and mindless distractions don’t break the communication of truth. Chinese whispers, gossip or lying can become the disease of this era, so a healthy remedy of personal discernment, detachment from “noise” and a clarification of your own mind can return you to the truth and keep you open minded and flexible with adaptive approaches.
HISTORICAL ECHOES: Uranus and Gemini Through Time
“History doesn’t repeat itself but it rhymes.”
We use historical astrology to help us see how collectively we have responded and adapted to how these transits have played out.
Past Transits: Uranus was in Gemini (1942-1949 and 1858-1865).
1942-1949: World War II and its aftermath, the atomic age, the first computers (ENIAC), the rise of mass media (radio and early television), widespread propaganda, the breaking of codes (cryptanalysis and cipher machines -breaking the Enigma code), although these machines were built while Uranus was in Taurus, it was used globally and altered how countries communicated. The revolutionary mental and communicative shifts, particularly noted in military intelligence used to hack your (global) neighbours messaging and telecommunications.
The UN was established signifying the desire for global communication, diplomacy and dialogue to prevalent future conflict. In the post war years welfare systems were put in place to support community members, the NHS (National Health Service was established in the UK and the GI Bill was passed in the US supporting the war veterans with housing and education. Although the war heavily dictates most of this era we can see how Uranus in Gemini saw a rapid increase in intelligence, communication methods, and significant social shifts. The collective mind was radically altered… broken, tested to its max and proved that it is capable of rewiring and reprogramming.
During these years, as Uranus shifted into Gemini (15 May 1942), Pluto was beginning its transit in Leo, Fixed Fire. Actually Pluto was at 3º Leo in the exact opposite of today’s 3º Aquarian Pluto. Opposition offering heightened awareness, tension, separation, strength, perhaps this is symbolic of how far we have grown, what rhymes will we hear? Neptune shifted into Libra by Oct 1942 holding a significant Trine (harmonic) between Uranus for that initiating period, offering some of the crucial turning points in the war like The Battle of Midway (1942), the Battle of Stalingrad (1942-43), and the Allied invasions of North Africa (Operation Torch, 1942). Saturn and Uranus had just had their conjunction at 29º Taurus (3 May 1942). This significant planetary conjunction occurs every 45 years and while Uranus is in Gemini for us now we will see the Uranus Saturn Conjunction towards the end on 28 June 2032 at 28º Gemini.
1858-1865: The American Civil War (a conflict over ideas and communication), the invention of the telephone (Bell’s work), significant advancements in telegraphy with the first Transatlantic Telegraph Cable in 1858 with Queen Victoria exchanging greetings with U.S. President James Buchanan. This instantaneous communication spurred further attempts to exchange across continents, shrinking the world and connecting minds globally. The popularisation of newspapers and the advent of photography showed the excitement of sharing perspectives and a new form of collective storytelling. There was also the rapid change in social travel, with the first London Underground Train Line in 1863 revolutionising urban transport.
The spiritualism movement was thriving during this time with mediumship, communication with the dead, channelling and extra-sensory communication transcending the traditional methods of connection. This time saw a new increase in paranormal curiosity, and through mesmerism and hypnosis, practices exploring altered states of consciousness and the power of suggestion were gaining traction, hinting at an intuitive understanding of the mind’s hidden capabilities. And Darwin’s revolutionary work on the Origin of Species altered our understanding of life and our place in the world. It forced us to examine evolution and the plausibility of what our human story is. Again, all themes of communication revolution (Uranus in Gemini) and societal upheaval driven by ideas, and the reach of the mind beyond its normal boundaries.
During these years, as Uranus entered Gemini 2 June 1858, Pluto was again in a fixed sign, 6º Taurus, Fixed Earth. Neptune began in Pisces, and shifted into Aries in April 1861, carrying a similar tone to what we have now as Neptune is crossing the Zero Point cusp this year 2025 and next. Saturn transited every 2.5 years though Cancer, Leo and Virgo during this time also. I hold hope with the resonating Neptune script we may see more of our innate intuitive mind push the limits (Saturn Neptune conjunction in Feb 2026) of our capacity to connect as highly intelligent biological creative beings. If not en masse this generation then perhaps the children born of this time will be seeded with this potential and they will become the circuit breakers that radically call for new systems and connections to their supernatural evolutions.
Historical Review:
Both of these brief recent historical reviews share the themes we can expect and already see unfolding in the collective consciousness now. Evolution of our connection, deciphering lost narratives, seeing beyond encrypted propaganda, forming networks and neural connections that broaden our humanitarian empathy and dialogue with each other. Of course due to our current rapid advancements in technology and AI we will see these as the dominant narrative, perhaps by the end of this transit we will have blurred lines of creative origin (more from Neptune in Aries) and reformed a new system of ingenuity (Saturn in Areis), integration of mind and innovation, and collective merging may propel a rebellion or at least a revolution that will alter our perception and change how we think personally and collectively as a species.
Our primary education (Gemini) models are already being reformed through technology but also through those seeking to break old systems that limit the minds potential, and this will certainly see a rise as the children express themselves in more ingenious ways that require the adults to support their incredible abilities. I am thinking more of the Telepathy Tapes findings and significant ‘gifted children’ programmes on the rise, like the blindfolded sensory games that prove children (and adults) can stretch their perception beyond the seen realms. I feel the neurodivergent scene will begin to make leaps in their adaptability as advanced minds that a society just did not yet comprehend nor know how to support appropriately.
This is all the nervous system increasing in capacity, reach and pushing beyond limits, so our widespread sensitivity will come with some hiccups as we adapt to new neural pathways for processing advanced information and connection points. The information overload will need to be balanced with ongoing vagus nerve awareness and mindfulness practices like meditation and breathwork. The need for discernment is paramount, I cannot stress this enough. With mass use of technology and varying biohacking practices upleveling most minds, and widespread excitement of new discoveries and wonderful distractions to keep an evolving mind preoccupied or overwhelmed then personal practices that refine your inner knowing and primal perception can be the greatest support going forward. Before you reach outward and collectively, focus on inner awareness and trust of your mind and intuition.
Uranus in Gemini inevitably has the capacity to electrify the mind and accelerate our intellectual breakthroughs, revolutionising how we communicate. Not just obvious communication but communion on the subtle levels too will open the exchange of feelings and thoughts on a more intimate and spiritual dimension. All pushing the boundaries of our human dimensions and narratives that have been running as the “normal” mode of perception.

- and Pray. (yep, Gemini is the connection to the higher mind – Mercury is the messenger between the Gods – so speak to it and ask for guidance) your channel is just as important as any other “influencer” or prominent mind.
The Delphic Maxims have never resounded so loudly, “Know thyself”, “Nothing in excess”, and “Give a pledge and trouble is at hand”…
Navigating the Accelerated Mind:
We are on the precipice of an exhilarating time, with breakthroughs and collective mind radicalisation, provoking genius and innovative solutions and ground breaking speeds of connection. We are entering an era of fascinating learning and advancements in skill as well as knowledge transfer and mental agility.
